Andrianna Kourdi

Dancesport Instructor

Andrianna Kourdi, born in Patras, Greece, started studying Classical Ballet at the early age of eight. A High School Honor Graduate, Andrianna studied English and Chemistry at the University of Patras, where she began her Ballroom Dance education. Andrianna was quickly asked to join the Patras dance team where she began intense training and competitions. In 1994, Andrianna won the 2nd place title in the Greek National Mambo Competition and 2nd place in the Professional American Rhythm Caompetition. After the huge stir she created all over Greece, Andrianna decided to pursue her dream and move to the United States. She was quickly hired on by Fred Astaire’s of Stamford, CT, and later transferred to their New York City location. Some of her coaches were Undefeated World Champion Julia Gorchakova, and International Champions Nadia Eftedal, Lyall Bradshaw, John De Palma Taliat and Mariana Tarsinov, Oleg and Irina Trebunsky, Igor Suvorov, Timothy and Michelle Mason, and Armando Martin.
In February of 2000, Paul Pellicoro offered Andrianna a career at Paul Pellicoro’s DanceSport of New York City where she fell in love the world’s most popular dance, the Salsa. Franklin Ayala quickly discovered Andrianna’s high level of ability and the two began a long-term partnership traveling all over the USA competing and performing representing DanceSport. Andrianna has completed the instructor certification from the University of Salsa in Puerto Rico under intensive training with Eddie Torres, Tito Ortos, Jorge Santana, Joby Martinez and Elmer Gonzalez. Andrianna’s additional trainers include Mario Diaz, Jhesus Aponte, Felipe Polanco, Cuban Pete, Arte Phillips and Bonnie Diaz, Paul Pellicoro, and Nito & Elba, Cecelia and Ronen.

Ron Rosario

Ron Rosario

DanceSport Instructor


Born in Carolina, PR Ron Rosario started dancing socially as a teenager and upon moving to New York City after high school began his formal training in Latin & Ballroom at the Murray Kossover School of Dance. Ron’s expertise is American Rhythm with Salsa, Hustle, and Swing (which he studied with the legendary Frankie Manning), being his specialties. He competes, choreographs, and performs in all three dances. Ron also has the distinction of being an annual host for the New York Swing Dance Society and is a regular guest artist and performer at the Stardust Dance Weekends.

Ron has been a dedicated instructor at DanceSport for over 10 years and has a series of instructional videos in Salsa, Hustle, and Swing available for purchase at DanceSport’s front desk.
