About us

Paul Pellicoro and Eleny Fotinos own and operate New York’s largest studio, DanceSport International Ballroom and Latin Dance Studio.

Since 1985, this dynamic pair has contributed enormously to the tremendous resurgence of partner dancing in Manhattan and across the nation.

Renown for their work in films, Paul and Eleny have extensive film experience both as performers and choreographers.
In the early 1990s, they came to national attention when they trained Academy Award winner Al Pacino for his sizzling tango scene in the hit movie, Scent of a Woman.

DanceSport is the studio where Vanessa Williams and Cheyenne learned to dance for the film, Dance With Me.

Paul and Eleny have been dancing together for over 10 years. Their long list of credits includes appearances and performances on daytime dramas, numerous talk shows, music and instructional videos and infomercials.
In 1994, Eleny partnered with former world amateur champion Andrew Sinkinson. Representing England, they became the fourth-ranked couple in the world professional International Ballroom category. Eleny is the first American to place in the top six ranked couples of the world’s most respected competitions, the Closed British and Open British.

In past years, Paul and Eleny have contributed resources and funds to promote partner dancing. In 1995, they founded the Partner Dance Educational Fund, a not-for-profit organization with a stated mission to bring partner dancing to a wider public. Currently, the Fund sponsors free dance workshops in New York City public schools and private spaces.
